O God creator through

Your goodness bread we share

by the earth conceived and given

made with human skill and care.

Common food by grace made holy

bread of life to us will be

by Your grace we bring You wine

work of human hand combining

with the goodness of the vine

cup of blessing yet of sorrow

cup of life and love to be

yet in humble love accepting gifts

from hands as poor as ours.

In our gifts our lives are given by
